Dr. Rebecca Penh is Executive Leadership Coach in the Learning and Leadership Division at the San Diego County Office of Education where she supports students, families, and educators throughout the county, as well as educational leaders across California. She also serves as the Region 8 Director for the California Association of Asian and Pasifika Leaders in Education (CAAPLE). Rebecca's dedication to educational equity is at the core of her work, as she strives to create services and opportunities that prioritize equity and access for historically marginalized communities.

With over 20 years of experience in education, Dr. Penh has embraced a diverse journey of growth and leadership. From her start as a classroom teacher to her roles as a resource teacher, associate principal, principal, district administrator, and leadership coach, Rebecca’s commitment to education has remained unwavering. She holds a BA in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University, a M.Ed. from National University, and an Ed.D. from San Diego State University.

Rebecca’s passion also lies in creating spaces and opportunities to uplift other educators, specifically colleagues from historically marginalized communities. She is deeply committed to not only supporting current educators but also inspiring and recruiting future educators who reflect the beautiful and rich diversity of our student population. Building a learning community that nurtures supportive and inclusive cultures is close to her heart. Rebecca believes that every student deserves to feel a true sense of belonging – where they are truly seen, valued, and celebrated.

Outside of her professional work, Rebecca finds joy in traveling with her husband and two young children, savoring different types of coffees and food experiences along the way, and embracing new adventures that enrich their lives together.
