ED&D Call to Action Kit

Disproportionality in special education happens when students from racial subgroups have different outcomes from students in other racial subgroups. This negatively affects our students because it means our schools do not give the same chance to all students to reach their academic and social potential.

Promoting equity in our school systems requires sustained hard work, but it can start with the simple choice to start talking about it with each other. Use the Equity, Disproportionality & Design Call to Action Kit to get a conversation going about equity at your trainings, meetings, and community events.

This do-it-yourself kit includes instructions, a template, and examples—everything you need to make your own presentation slide to get the conversation about student equity going at your school and community events.
